Very helpful with visit and answers

Dr Kellar and his staff were friendly but professional. He spoke to me about a test I had, and how I had improved. He is having me retake the test in a year to verify the results are the same. He went over the test and what it meant so that I understood it. I highly recommend anyone that needs to see a Pulmonologist to give Dr. Kellar a chance.

My first experience was excellent, Starting with the friendliness and efficiency of the receptionist to the nurse who started the medical part of the visit. The nurse made comfortable with the tests and prep work for the Doctor. My time with Dr Keller was excellent. He kept telling me and showing me the problems involving my lungs. After a nine day hospital stay for pneumothorax and released from the hospital, i went in for an X-ray and the doctor gave me a good report. He told me not to fly and to go to the emergency room if I had pain. I have another appointment in two weeks. Excellent care from the nurse practitioners too while hospitalized.

I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of getting an appointment with Dr. Kellar. The office staff are friendly and helpful every step of the way. They explained everything we were doing and why we were doing it. Dr. Kellar was a breath of air. We discussed the results of the in office testing and set up a home sleep study to complete the exam. The most impressive evaluation of my exam came when he happened to pass by me in the hall during a walking/O2 test. When we met later on he noted that my O2 levels were acceptable but he noticed that I was extremely weak. As a result I am exerting significantly more effort to do simple functions like walking resulting in significantly heavier breathing. Going beyond the actual exam results he suggested physical exercises targeting areas that would help improve my breathing. The ensuing conversation was extremely useful and has given me more direction to improve my breathing.

My appt was on time, Amanda is very knowledgeable of sleep apnea. She takes her time and listens to your concerns. I only gave 4 stars because it is difficult to make an appt. I was always playing phone tag. I always had to leave a message for a call back. Never had a live person answer the phones.

Dr Kellar is very nice but he also tells it to you like it is. He told me my breathing problems will only get worse if I don't start some strength training. I've reached the magic age of 70 when you have to keep moving it or you will lose it, without building muscle you can't last in a very productive way.

it was my first visit, recommended by my radiation oncologist. the testing was very thorough, and dr. kellar actually spoke english to me instead of doctor speak. i was truly amazed and told him so. i left there with a complete understanding of what was going on in my lung, and why. dr. kellar is without a doubt one of the top doctors on my lifetime list of doctors i've seen. if you go see him, tell him stuart sent you. i won't get a discount (insurance pays) but i'd like him to know that i'm referring people to him.

I had a good discussion with Amanda but am confused that I was told that I had to meet with Northwest Pulmonary staff in order to process an order for a replacement hose for my CPAP machine but the hose showed up next day so I'm confused why I had to meet with staff because the order was obviously place prior to my appointment with Amanda.
